Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2011 Jeep Patriot- Video
Hi there, Jeep owners, today in your 2011 Jeep Patriot, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's diode wiring kit. All the components are gonna be hidden behind your taillight assembly, so you're really not gonna notice any modifications to the vehicle. They tap directly into the factory lighting circuits and they act as a one-way check valve that only lets current flow one direction to the bulbs, but it can't back feed. And this allows us to add the additional wiring for our motor home so that when we plug into our motor home, we can send all the lighting signals from our motor home to the same factory lights here on our vehicle, so that way, these will also illuminate, letting people know our intentions when we're going down the road. And when those signals come up the wires from our motor home, it'll light the bulb, but the diode prevents it from going back down the factory wiring, causing any damage to the vehicle. This is my personal favorite way to get lighting set up on your flat tow set up 'cause some of the other options, well, for example, like the Blue Ox or the Demco diodes, their diodes just don't seem to be as robust as the Roadmaster ones, these ones have a very large heat sink on them to dissipate heat and they just seem to work very well. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, were installing a roadmaster tail light wiring kit with bulbs part number RM-155. Now, were going to begin up here at the front of the vehicle. Well go ahead and raise the hood up. Now, were going to take the long wire that has two four flat ends to it. Were actually going to cut one of the four flat ends off. Now the end that we keep that has a four flat connected to it, were actually going to mount up underneath the grill in this vehicle.Now, this vehicle already has a base plate installed so well be connecting it up here at the base plate. more
